Measurement Accuracy Analysis of Portable Ultrasonic Flowmeter

The portable ultrasonic flowmeter is widely used in the measurement of a single, pure liquid flow in a round tube, which has high measurement accuracy and convenient operation. Which factors will affect the accuracy of their measurements?

1. Pipeline parameters

In general, the input pipe parameters are correct, which directly affects the measurement accuracy. Accurate installation of upstream and downstream sensors is the main condition for obtaining accurate measurements.

2. Straight pipe section required for probe installation

In the pipeline, various resistance parts, such as valves, elbows, etc., are generally installed. In the vicinity, the fluid flow in the pipeline changes, and vortices are easily generated, which affects the measurement results.

3. The contact surface between the probe and the tube wall

The outer wall of the pipe is generally coated with a protective layer. Before installation, the pipe wall should be polished, coated with a coupling agent, and tied with a strap to make the sensor fit closely to the wall.
