The ultrasonic level meter can compensate the influence of temperature automatically. In practical application, the temperature of ultrasonic medium and the measured medium are different because of the environment around the probe. The measuring system should select the external temperature sensor which is separated from the built-in temperature sensor and the probe according to the actual requirements. A more accurate measurement system can place the echo reflection reference at a specific location from the probe to produce a reference echo to compensate for the temperature effect. The validity of this method depends on the accuracy of the placement of echo reference objects.
