1.How the turbine flow meter works
The turbine flow meter has a turbine that is installed in the fluid piping and supported at both ends by bearings. As the fluid passes through the turbine, the fluid impacts the turbine blades, causing the turbine blades to rotate. The meter of the turbine flow meter indirectly measures the flow rate through the angular velocity of the turbine blade. The method uses the angular velocity of the blade to be proportional to the fluid velocity.
2.Matters needing attention in installation of flow sensors
Installation requires vortex flowmeters to be sensitive to the effects of velocity distribution distortion, rotating flow and pulsating flow in the tube. Therefore, these factors should be paid special attention to when determining the installation position of the instruments. During installation, the operation shall be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, with special attention to the distribution of the choke upstream of the instrument and the length of the straight pipe section.
Most vortex flowmeters can be installed horizontally, vertically or tilted; a few, such as vibrator and photoelectric, must be installed horizontally.
If liquid is measured, the liquid should be filled with pipes, and the outlet should have a certain back pressure.
