Insertion measurement reduces mechanical work but depends on a predictable velocity profile and accurate pipe-area configuration. The format can provide practical monitoring of gas, steam or suitable liquid with a smaller process connection and serviceable sensor assembly. Representative Velocity From a Controlled Insertion Point A bluff body creates alternating vortices whose frequency is proportional to fluid velocity. The sensor converts that stable vortex signal into flow rate without gears or rotating components, supporting liquid, gas and steam measurement with low routine maintenance. Gallop lists flange, wafer, insertion and sanitary structures, pulse and 4-20 mA outputs, RS485 and HART options, and stainless steel 304 or 316L bodies. Temperature and pressure compensation can be specified when corrected gas or steam flow is required. The selected system should match the medium, velocity range, pressure, temperature and required compensation, while the body and probe materials suit the process.
